Dharma Bharathi School of Fogiveness and Reconciliation (DBSFR)

Dharma Bharathi School of Forgiveness & Reconciliation (DBSFR) was founded by Swami Sachidananda Bharathi to serve as the first ‘School’ of Study and Research under the proposed Dharma Bharathi Global Open University of Peace and Value Education (DBGOU).

DBSFR was inaugurated by Dr. J. Alexander, President, NIT, on 25th Nov 2006 at Kochi, with Acharya Catherine Prabhujyothi as its Coordinator and Dr. Sylvester Ezhumala as its Director. The ‘seed capital’ of Rs. 100,000/- for DBSFR was provided by Dr. Zac Varghese, Prof. Emeritus, Royal Academy of Medicine, London, who is also the ‘Patron’ of DBSFR.

Organising a number of Seminars and bringing out a carefully-planned and well-edited ‘Source Book’ for DBSFR under the title ‘Breaking the Brokenness’ are among the important achievements of DBSFR so far. The credit for these achievements goes to Acharya Catherine Prabhujyothi, DCP, the first disciple trained and initiated by Swami Sachidananda Bharathi in Dharma Bharathi Ashram, Mulanthuruthy, Kochi.

DBSFR functions from Dharma Bharathi Ashram, Mulanthuruthy, Kerala. It will serve as the training and orientation centre for the members of DCP.  Teaching the ‘Shanti Yagna Meditation’ for inner peace and promoting the seven spiritual laws of peace termed ‘Sapta Rishis’ developed and authored by Swami Sachidananda Bharathi and providing spiritual orientation for members of all organisations and institutions and movements under NIT constitute the other activities of DBSFR.
