Navasrushti Eco-spiritual Tourism Society (NESTS)

Eco-Spiritual Tourism (EST) is a pioneering field with great potentials and possibilities for India. Those who are inspired to venture out into this challenging new field need to be organized, educated and trained well to make the best use of these possibilities, and to provide enlightened leadership to this new kind of alternate tourism.

As a first step in the process of developing Eco-Spiritual Tourism as a global socio-spiritual movement, we need to create an ‘International Society’ of like-minded people who share this vision and mission. As this is a creative and pioneering field, one cannot expect very many people to join such an International Society for Eco-Spiritual Tourism.

‘Navasrushti Eco-Spiritual Tourism Society’ (NESTS) is being formed as an International Society of such sovereign spiritual persons under the legal ownership of Navasrushti International Trust (NIT).

NESTS will develop EST into a global socio-spiritual movement with a spirituality of peace and a philosophy of non-violence providing strong and sustainable foundation to it. NESTS will generate self-employment opportunities to a large number of spiritually inclined and socially committed educated youth.

For those young men and women who wish to earn a decent livelihood for themselves through self-employment and devote the rest of their time for nation-building initiatives, EST can provide a golden opportunity. Entrepreneurship development and opportunities for self-employment are essential aspects of nation-building. India needs large number of entrepreneurs for her regeneration and reconstruction. EST is an area with great possibilities for entrepreneurship development.

The aim of NESTS is to develop and promote Eco-Spiritual Tourism based on an Earth Family Consciousness and on the universal spiritual virtues of loving hospitality, caring concern and selfless service as outlined earlier in this book. NESTS will strive to achieve its aim through a number of objective activities.

The important objectives of NESTS:

a) To conduct training courses and orientation programmes on Eco-Spiritual Tourism for developing a cadre of enlightened leaders for this specific mission.
b) To provide Eco-Spiritual Tourism Packages to Indian and foreign tourists.
c) To rediscover and promote the ‘Aditeya maryada’ (hospitality culture) of India.
d) To establish a network of Eco-Spiritual Tourism Homes, Eco-Spiritual Tourism Centers & Eco-Spiritual Tourism Services at different places in India and the world with the help of the trained leaders so as to make Eco-Spiritual Tourism a global socio-spiritual movement.
e) To promote organic/natural farming, and to produce and market organic/natural food items.
f) To establish a network of ‘Institutes of Peace and Value Education’ and link them up to form a Global Open University that can provide a strong universal educational basis for a culture of peace and values in the world.
g) To promote and undertake employment generating activities for youth and women and to produce eco-friendly items.

Membership of NESTS is open to all sovereign spiritual persons 18 years of age who share the vision, mission, philosophy and objectives of Eco-Spiritual Tourism. The membership fee of NESTS is Rs. 10,000/- for life.

The students trained by the Navasrushti International Academy of Eco-Spiritual Tourism will be able to have first hand experience in preparation, operation and management of these Packages. Such EST Packages will be posted on the website of NESTS. Part of the profit from these Packages can also be utilized for developing the Navasrushti Academy as a center of excellence, and in making EST a global movement.

The uniqueness of the EST Services offered by NESTS will be the personalized loving hospitality, caring concern and selfless service extended to the tourists by the member-hosts.
