He founded the 'Bharathi Chaturashrama Sanyasa Parampara' in 2003 and took the name 'Swami Sachidananda Bharathi'. Swamiji has traveled widely and has authored a number of books. He was one of the delegates who represented India in the 'Millennium World Peace Summit of Religious & Spiritual Leaders' organised by the United Nations. In 2007 Swamiji undertook a year-long All India Peace Pilgrimage termed 'Desh Vandana-2007'. In the concluding prayer-meeting of 'Desh Vandana-2007' held at Gandhi Mandapam, Kanyakumari, on 30th January 2008 he initiated the 'Second Freedom Struggle of India' with the goal 'Hunger-free, Caste-free & Corruption-free India'.
